Second Date 13x8.5” graphite on paper

Almost every artist has these lovely movable wooden reference figures.  Mine are always perched on an upper shelf reminding me I should be using them.  So I’ve brought them down to the drawing table, and after several posings, have decided to consider these two on their second date.  We have the awkward moment when the interested boy puts his arm around the girl for the first time.  It seemed appropriate since these figurines do “awkward” if anything at all.  I really enjoyed this one.  I tried technical illustration pencils to get the sharpest and lightest point.  They work really well and are far cleaner too.  I may have to buy a set and leave my regular pencils behind.  I especially like the interchangeable leads.  Really nice.
