Abstract #1 6x9" Graphite on paper
I have shoeboxes filled with abstracts. One reason is that I love sketching them, mostly because they are quick and relaxing on the mind. After days of running around and learning, a long day at work and a long list of things to do tonight I decided, “An abstract it is”. I was able to finish it in an hour, which is ideal, because I have to get back to a long list of other things needing to be done this evening. As for this drawing: I don’t have any particular concept in mind when I sketch these abstracts, I am only concerned with the aesthetic effects of the spatial relationships within my determined spaces.
