Nature vs. Nurture 5 x 8.5" Graphite on paper
I personally believe it’s a perfect combination. Generally, I do this type of work right on canvas, but since I had to do today’s drawing I thought I would create what would be a painting in pencil. Although this blog has been great and has given me the opportunity to try different approaches through sketching, illustrating, and technical exercises, I’ve been feeling I’ve been missing the art in these works. So here’s a bit of my fine art thought process and a glimpse into what I usually save for canvas. I should work through more painting concepts in this way. Great way to develop a series before investing the money in the canvas.
