A Spiral Chew from the band XTC

Yet another fantabulous XTC song… I generally draw classical music but XTC is so structurally fun I can’t help myself.  Each song of course comes with an endlessly chewable guarantee: the more you listen to it the more little threads you hear.  So, considering how rarely the XTC factory opens its lovely doors I decided to draw this delectable drop.  The single tune is called spiral and it is simply about the joy of spending the afternoon spinning some good vinyl: 45’s to be particular.  I bet it’s quite the collection.  These are the lyrics I’ve drawn: “Spiral, ripped from the records… go into the room, dissipate the gloom, happiness eternal.”  Well, you can hear it for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dkd-PaVjmhw&feature=player_embedded#!
