Rhapsody in Blue Musical Phrasings
On August 8th I had a phenomenal time at the opening for my show at the Workhouse Arts Center. I worked on a series of musical phrasings.

All the months it took to get in all the detail worked out really well 🙂 Time allowed for cleaning out the studio and getting everything into frames.

Everyone seemed to love Rhapsody in Blue as well as the smaller phrasings. Apparently the detail had a grand impact. It’s rewarding. Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue was a joy to work on. Expressed are the clarinets and orchestra being recorded and turned into date

The phrasings reactions were phenomenal 🙂 One of the Artists whom had not seen them guessed everyone one by simply having me call out the label (before having them up) as she looked and pointed. (Prokofiev… Peter and the Wolf..) “That one!” She got everyone on the first try!!!! So impressed!

I had 26 works for this show and really loved working on it. This is “Bernstein” in the making. It personifies his writing.

As always, each year is something entirely new, but music related. This next year I’m working on several exhibits. The one for the Workhouse Arts Center will be Music as Data in September 2016
