Karl Böhm, has a definitive upper balance in his baton communication. He gives direction in a horizontal space that is broken by the demand of the moment. There is a geometry in his structure, thinking and expectation that can be linked. I created an abstraction depicting how this top-balanced, horizontal, world functions over time and the varying sections of the work. He balances this light hovered space between the musician and their flight against a more concrete and ruled structural space that is the tempo.
