Adrian Boult’s style had a lovely and elegant shape, accentuated by an exceeding long baton. The space between his hand and the end of the baton is like a sea with the orchestra as his swimmers. The baton, isn’t about the attenuation of the point, but rather the movement of the water and the beauty of forms. He moved around sounds, until they voiced as one, thick ambient form.
“As we contemplate it, it lifts us off our feet with it’s ennobling power.” Adrian Boult
