Conductor Valery Gergiev

$900.

Gergiev lived inside the sub-division. He egged his orchestra on with gesticulations of nearly every finger, shaking his hands with the steady beat of a dancing percussionist.   Each hand had it’s own personality and agenda.  Later in life, Gergiev replaced his once short baton, with his own pointed index finger.   He made it work and all eyes were often on his every move.

If your voice is very soft and you don’t make it clear that this is the way things should go, they probably won’t go.” – Valery Gergiev
